Poetry is powerful. Long before I became a researcher, I was drawn to language as a way to connect to myself and others. Something about the way the words sounded in my head made more sense than prose. As a kid, I memorized Poe’s The Raven and would recite it on command—fascinated by its rhythm, repetition, and mood.
As someone who spends much of their time writing academically—analyzing systems, tracing policies, arguing for justice—poetry offers a space for something different: feeling over framing, expression over explanation. This page is a home for that sort of writing.
Stay tuned.
